Custom Manufacturing and Prototype Services Agreement

Nature of Custom Work

Custom products, prototypes, and one-off manufacturing projects involve development uncertainty.

The customer acknowledges that:

  • Prototypes may require revisions.
  • Material performance may vary.
  • Aesthetic results may differ from expectations.
  • Engineering validation remains the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Design Approval

Production begins only after written approval of:

  • Drawings
  • Renderings
  • CAD files
  • Specifications
  • Project requirements

Approval authorizes manufacturing and may limit future change requests.

Change Requests

After approval:

  • Changes may require new pricing.
  • Production schedules may be extended.
  • Additional design charges may apply.

Manufacturing Tolerances

Unless otherwise specified:

  • Commercially reasonable manufacturing tolerances apply.
  • Dimensional, color, finish, texture, layer line, and material variations are considered normal.

Functional Testing

Unless specifically contracted:

  • We do not certify products for medical, aerospace, defense, life-safety, structural, or regulated-use applications.
  • The customer is responsible for suitability testing and validation.

Customer-Supplied Files

We may rely on customer-provided:

  • CAD files
  • Drawings
  • Models
  • Specifications

We are not responsible for errors contained within customer-supplied materials.

Production Delays

Estimated completion dates are good-faith estimates and not guarantees.

Ownership of Tooling and Fixtures

Unless specifically purchased by the customer:

  • Production methods
  • Jigs
  • Fixtures
  • Manufacturing procedures

Internal workflows remain our property.
