Frequently Asked Questions
What does Intentional Creativity make?
Intentional Creativity specializes in custom 3D printing, prototype development, licensed creator products, and made-to-order fabrication. We help makers, inventors, collectors, hobbyists, and businesses bring ideas to life.
Do you offer custom orders?
Yes. We welcome custom projects ranging from one-off prints and prototypes to specialized fabrication work. Contact us with your project details, sketches, files, or design requirements for a quote.
Can I provide my own STL, CAD, or design files?
Absolutely. Customers may submit their own design files for manufacturing.
By submitting files, you confirm that you own the design or have the legal right to authorize its production.
Do you sign Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)?
Yes. We understand that some projects involve proprietary concepts, inventions, or confidential business information. Mutual NDAs are available for qualifying projects prior to the exchange of sensitive information.
How long will my order take?
Production times vary depending on project complexity, material availability, order volume, and finishing requirements.
Estimated lead times are provided at the time of ordering whenever possible.
Do you offer design services?
Yes. We can assist with design refinement, prototyping, and modifications for many projects. Some projects may require separate design fees depending on complexity.
Are your products licensed?
Many products are original creations, customer-authorized designs, or products manufactured under commercial licensing agreements with independent designers and creators.
Intentional Creativity respects intellectual-property rights and supports ethical creator partnerships.
Can I sell products you manufacture for me?
In most cases, yes, provided you own or control the rights to the design being manufactured.
Certain licensed products may have restrictions that prevent resale. Specific licensing terms will be communicated when applicable and available.
What materials do you use?
Material options may include:
- PLA
- PLA+
- PETG
- TPU
- Specialty filaments
- Other materials as available
Material availability may vary by project requirements.
Will my product look exactly like the photos?
Because many products are custom-made or manufactured individually, slight variations in color, finish, texture, and appearance may occur.
These minor differences are a normal part of custom manufacturing.
Can I return a custom-made item?
Custom-made and personalized products are generally non-returnable once production has begun.
If your order arrives damaged or contains a manufacturing defect, please contact us within 10 days of delivery so we can help resolve the issue.
What if my order is damaged during shipping?
If your package arrives damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and provide photographs of the item and packaging. We will work with you and the carrier to resolve the issue.
Do I own the intellectual property for my design?
You retain ownership of any intellectual property you provide to us.
Intentional Creativity retains ownership of its manufacturing methods, processes, and pre-existing intellectual property.
Additional details can be found in our Design Ownership & Intellectual Property Policy.
Do you keep my project confidential?
We treat customer information and project details with care. For confidential projects, we recommend executing a Mutual NDA before sharing sensitive information.
How can I contact Intentional Creativity?
Questions, custom project inquiries, and support requests can be submitted through our Contact page or by emailing us directly. We strive to respond as quickly as possible.
Why are some products priced differently than similar items online?
Many of our products are produced in small batches, customized to order, manufactured under licensed creator agreements, or require significant print and finishing time. We focus on quality, ethical sourcing, and supporting creators rather than mass production.
That question comes up surprisingly often and lets you explain upfront why you're not competing with the cheapest Etsy seller using pirated files.
Are there any projects you won't manufacture?
Intentional Creativity is committed to operating within applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and intellectual-property protections.
We do not knowingly manufacture products that violate applicable laws, infringe intellectual-property rights, or otherwise cannot be legally produced, possessed, sold, distributed, or used.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that submitted designs, files, specifications, and intended uses comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
Project acceptance and production are subject to review for legal, regulatory, licensing, and safety considerations.
